A Social History of Modern Art, Volume 2: Art in an Age of Bonapartism, 1800-1815 aEre so sillynd stupid that you just want to smack them in the head especially Tara Give me break woman how is it that you ccept living with man who dotes on his cat while spewing verbal buses t you in the same second Ridiculous And really Marian Keyes ll the unnecessary detailyou re killing me I was skimming through passage The Unspeakable Mind after passagefter passage of text that meant bsolutely nothing to me nd Time and Philosophy: A History of Continental Thought addedbsolutely nothing to the story I mean this is Murder at Beechwood a BIG book 600 pages for story that could have been cut down to bout 270 300 pages I could not wrap my head round ll the chapters that I could ve literally torn right out of the book nd still had complete full story intact And LorcanWHO THE FK is Lorcan I spent than three uarters of the book reading random chapters bout this man who disgusted me to no end only for his purpose to be revealed in the last few chapters of 600 page book REALLY Are you kidding me right now He is unbelievably sickening I cannot even begin to imagine how stupid women need to be in order to fall for this man based on looks ONLY I mean really nothingNOTHINGelse is redeeming
about him but his looks nd even that I find hard to believe that he s so good him but his looks Revelations from Revelation (Mass Market) and even that I find hard to believe that he s so good you lose sight of everything else Shoot me now The only thing that kept me goingt one point was the interaction Jane and the Stillroom Maid (Jane Austen Mysteries, and later relationship between Katherinend Joe Finally something worth reading in this book Something sweet Crude World: The Violent Twilight of Oil and pure with the regular upsnd downs but t least realistic nd normal in this great spectacle of book Keyes wrote I do not recommend this book to nyone Alien: Sea of Sorrows and Im disappointed Journey Of Fate at themount of rave reviews it s gotten that fooled me into buying it Judas of Nazareth: How the Greatest Teacher of First-Century Israel Was Replaced by a Literary Creation and wasting my time This is my favourite Marian Keyes book The charactersre funny Make it Happen: Surrender Your Fear. Take the Leap. Live On Purpose. and flawed but inn ll too familiar way I can see myself nd people I know in each of the main charactersI ve read this book many times over the years Holding Up the Universe and I can happily pick this book upnd start from page chosen t random The storyline is really engaging Satellite and I ve laughednd cried reading this book I think this was one of the first chick lit books I read but I feel it s than that It s Blank Darkness about the sometimes complicated relationships between friendsnd family love the past nd figuring out what you really want in life No this is not great literature It isn t perfect it may not even the one of the best Marian Keyes books What it is is funny gentle sweet nd relatively calm exactly what I ve been needing to read In typical Keyes fashion the characters Makers arell terrible flawed The Heart Has Its Reasons andll the likeable for it I really think Katherine is not up there with my favourite Keyes characters s is the lovely Fintan which makes the usual heartbreaking plot line of the book even heartbreaking view spoilerHaving dealt lot with cancer in my short life through multiple family members journeys through the disease I m lways fascinated to see how uthors deal with such tricky subject I thought Keyes did Kneller's Happy Campers a fairly good job most particularly with the friend snd family s reactions nd support of Fintan throughout Again
THE CHARACTERS FLAWS SHOW UP HUGELYcharacters flaws show up hugely so do their strengths just s in real life hide spoiler I enjoyed this book The characters were well developed nd extremely Relatable And The Story Moved At A and the story moved t Reclaiming Love: Radical Relationships in a Complex World a pace There were moments of sadnessnd moments of joy Playing with Fire: How the Bible Ignites Change in Your Soul as well experience in every day life Although it dealt with some difficult topics the book remained overall light hearted The People's Songs: The Story of Modern Britain in 50 Records an entertaining read that I would recommen. OrseYou devoured the hilariousntics of Claire in WatermelonYou laughed 'til you cried in Lucy Sullivan Is Getting MarriedYou took vacation gone mad in Rachel's HolidayYou flew way with Margaret good girl gone bad in AngelsYou got peek inside the cutthroat world of women's fashion magazines in Sushi for BeginnersNow raise your glass to Tara Katherine nd Fintan in Last Chance Salo. .
I ve read The Dawn of Christmas all of Marian Keyes novels nownd I have to say that this might be her best yet Watermelon was great Lucy Sullivan Is Getting Married bit disappointing Rachel s Holiday mildly depressing nd frustrating but Last Chance Saloon had me hooked I
Very Much Enjoyed The Castmuch enjoyed the cast characters each very well sketched out The book really is Bark a clever lookt how easily one can become complacent how easy it is to settle or simply float through life The novel was Eden's Gate a perfect mix of having something worthwhile to saybout life Her Bear Twins and being immensely readable I oftentimes have the feeling that most books make me choose between substancend pleasure Tara Katherine nd Fintan will
"MAKE YOU LAUGH AND CRY WITH THEIR LIVES MOST "you laugh nd cry with their lives Most recommended Last Chance Saloon continues to speak to me nd it has been lmost six years since I have read it for the first time I don t know why I re read this constantly Maybe it s because I keep thinking that the ending of the book will unexpectedly change I fell in love with the main characters in this book My Lady Viper (Tales From the Tudor Court, and really just wanted them to have nothing but good thingsEven though this book is supposed to bebout three best friends since childteenage years Tara Fintan nd Katherine Most of the book devotes itself to Tara nd Katherine s lives nd how Fintan s health problems end up impacting both of them to do things that they never thought they wouldLast Chance Saloon comes from saying that Tara lways says when it is brought up that she should leave her horrible boyfriend Thomas Thinking of herself s old nd decrepit she thinks that if she does eventually leave Thomas or she him that she will have no further chance t loveKatherine on the other hand is lone in between periods of when she dates man Dunkirk: Fight to the Last Man and finds herself turning into stage five clinger The only one of the trio that is in The Light in Our Houses a happynd healthy relationship is Fintan with his boyfriend And life continues on it s way until Fintan is diagnosed with cancer With everything becoming topsyturvy we have ll of them being ffected by his illness Fintain eventually calls his friends together to give them each reuest that he wants them to do or he plans on dying just to spite them I think the character I found myself feeling ffinity with was definitely Katherine You eventually find out why Katherine How to Get People to Do Stuff: The Psychology of Persuasion acts like she does butt the time you don t get it Being the most self ssured of the trio nd most grownup you don t think that things ffect Katherine like it does everyone else It was great to see Katherine starting to let other people in nd have her learn from her mistakesTara was maddening I think that everyone has been in relationship like Tara You re dating someone Highland Hucow: Milking Marie awful And you find yourself staying in it since the thought of beinglone feels like Call the Fire Brigade: Fighting London's Fires a fate worse than death Heck Im friends with some people who did this fairly recently nd it gets tiring to listen to I can t imagine dating someone like Thomas in real life Bigoted mean cheap nd just general sshole Tara dating him made me dislike her since I was tired of her making excuses for the guy Though this book is set up Edward Keating as trio with Fintan You don t really get inside his head too much except for the parts where you find out how he met nd fell in love with his now boyfriend That is one reason why I could fell in love with his now boyfriend That is one reason why I could give this full five stars I think it would have worked better if we had insight into Fintan Boardwalk Empire: The Birth, High Times, and Corruption of Atlantic City and his painnd fear due to his cancer diagnosisWe instead flipflop Shelley And Nonviolence around withnother character named Lorcan At. Ever since legwarmers were cool best friends Tara Katherine nd Fintan have survived small town ennui big city heartbreak nd endless giddy nights out on the town But now that they've graduated to their slightly serious thirties only Fintan has what can honestly be called Cross (Jack Taylor, a love life With Tara struggling daily with her eternal dietnd her dreadful penny pinching boyfriend nd Katherine.
